First,
let me introduce myself. My
name is Darko Ivančević,
born in 1979 in Kikinda, small
town at the north of Serbia.
For almost a decade I am living,
studying and working in Belgrade.
My first contact with the magic
of photography was long time
ago, I could still use fingers
on my hands to show my age.
Photography was always somewhere
there, going beside my life
and barely touching it. But,
very recently, several years
ago, this interest started to
develop and I became more interested
in subject. I was asking myself
why this didn’t happen before
and why it took me so much time
to discover this obvious passion?
Well, there is only one possible
answer and it is that my interest
is related to digital photography.
This is mainly for its ability
of post processing and more
control over the process of
creating. Creative abilities
are unlimited and what is even
better it is available to everyone.
Site you
are now looking at and reading
these lines is, first of all,
my personal presentation. Some
of my photos were published
by entering some competitions
in the magazines and on the
internet, but I decided to present
myself in this way, to be able
to express what I feel and see.
Also, for Serbian version I
am doing a guide to photography.
During my research and studying
skills of photography I realized
that this kind of literature
is very poor in Serbian, with
English language situation is
completely different. I had
the same idea when I was writing
for "Mikro
PC World"
(PC World Serbia) magazine
during 2004. English version
is made for easier browsing
through my work for people outside
of Serbia. One of the main thoughts
I had (among other things) when
I started all this, was to receive
your comments, and I would appreciate
if you have some creative advice
or just an opinion you want
to share.
